HP6... I can't wait... I get obsessed all over again!

Missing

I think that we have some magical creature living in the walls of our house that likes to steal and hide Isaac's bottles. I know that I am trying to wean Isaac off the bottle, but doing it cold turkey isn't what I had in mind. It all started when we came hoe from California last Tuesday night. I swore I had 2 8 oz bottles, one that I brought to Ca and one that I left here. When I went to go use it, the only one in the house was the one that I had taken on our trip. Well, last night I go to use one of our 4 6 oz bottles and there was only 1! I couldn't believe it because the previous night I washed all 4 of them! Jim and I have looked all over the house and car with no avail. The only other thing that I could think of was that Isaac might have thrown them away but one would think that I would have noticed 4 bottles in my garbage can! So that leaves only 1 solution: a magical creature is living in our walls stealing Isaac's bottles. It only makes sense. So, what should I do to rid this pest from my house and recover my bottles?

Danielle to the Rescue!!!!

Thank you Danielle for coming to my rescue. Within 5 minutes of me posting my problem, Danielle called and helped save the day. Thank goodness for that because I was getting a little to worked up over a blog.

Help!!!

I need your help. I tried changing my background on my blog and I did something and now it is back to the original template and I no longer have an option to add on any page elements, not to mention I lost all of my add-ons like peoples blog addresses. So if you can lend me some wisdom on this matter since I am not good with computers, that would be wonderful. Plus if you could send me your blog address again, that would be great too.

I going crazy trying to figure it out!!!!

Beach Blanket Babylon

For those of you who have never been, you must go see Beach Blanket Babylon in San Francisco!!! I went with my brother and Mom and we laughed threw the whole thing! It is a musical that makes fun of our pop culture, political events and current affairs. It is in its 34th year of sold out performances and has the wildest costumes and over the top hats and wigs. If you ever get to San Francisco, make sure it is on your "to-do" list and book your tickets ahead of time. All shows are 21 and up except for Sundays. Enjoy...we sure did !!!!

I'm Back

After 2 1/2 weeks in California, Isaac and I returned to the desert of Utah last night. We were very excited to see Jim after being away for so long. During our trip, we went to my parents cabin and Isaac had a blast. He really enjoyed watching the squirrels, birds and raccoons. He also really enjoyed swimming in the lake and playing in the sand. He was covered head to toe in dirt every day. We also went to the San Francisco Zoo which is wonderful. He learned a few new words and saw some new animals. For the most part, we just hung out with friends and family eating, watching the movie Cars and paying with Hot wheels. We had a great time and thanks to my in-laws who let me borrow their portable DVD player for the flight home, Isaac sat strapped in his car seat watching Cars the entire flight. For those of you who know Isaac, that is an amazing feat!!!

Fireworks!

Here in Provo, you are allowed to set off fireworks for the 4th of July and Pioneer Day, July 24th. Isaac and I went to the Slinker's and joined them in their cul-de-sac with about 7 other families ( Jim had to work) to set off fireworks and then watch the really big ones that were being set off from the Stadium of Fire at BYU. Isaac loved the poppers. They are the ones that come in a little box and you throw them on the ground and they explode. At first he wasn't too sure, then he was running around will all of the other kids throwing them on the ground. Then we moved on to the sparklers. Isaac thought they were pretty cool.
He was a big boy and held it himself, of course I was right there, but he didn't seem to mind. We had fun spelling his name and twirling them in the air. The older boys set off bigger ones in the street and Isaac wasn't sacred buy the loud sounds of them at all. He really liked them. He enjoyed the big ones in the air too. I think he liked running around and playing with all the kids the most! I have to say that this was one of the best 4th of Julys' that I ever had!

4th of July Parade

Thanks to Becky Slinker and her friends who camped out on the street last night, we had great seats for the parade today. It was Isaac's first parade and he had such a great time. There were big balloons which he loved, firetrucks that sprayed water, tons of floats, royalty from the different town, tons of veterans and marching bands. I think some of the best things that were unique to this parade was the floats done by different stakes and institutes promoting Church ideas like Eternal Marriage or when the entire Provo, Utah Mission missionaries came marching singing "Called to Serve." They were greeted like local celebrities with kids running out to shake their hands and give them High Fives. I think they were received better than the BYU, U of U and UVU cheerleaders, basketball players and football players. We really enjoyed our self. I can't wait for fireworks tonight, but until then, this will need to do. Enjoy!

Balloon Fest

Jim Isaac and I went to Balloon Fest yesterday morning. Isaac really enjoyed watching all of the different shapes and colors on the hot air balloons. There was music playing and kids running around. We also enjoyed watching the balloons "chase" each other and try to joust some regular helium balloons. It was a nice thing to do plus it was at 6:30 in the morning so it was only 65 degrees. The last picture is when Isaac and I went to "Ellis Island in the Park."

Colonial Days

Isaac and I went to Colonial Days in Provo. They had a partial to scale replica of the Mayflower, Jamestown Village, basket making, bobbin lace making, colonial games, candle dipping, a black smith and more. I think one of my favorite things there were the people dressed up as George Washington and other famous folk. Not to mention that they had original copies of colonial documents and one of the original wet copies of the Constitution. Isaac had so much fun. He was very upset when it was time to leave. I was also interviewed and put in the newspaper. You can read it here.

Watering

Isaac loves to help Jim with whatever Jim is doing, be Isaac really loves helping him with the garden. Jim put Isaac in charge of watering and I think for a 19 month old, he did really well. Anyone else need help watering their garden?
