Toys

Thanks to many gift cards from family over Christmas, Isaac has went to Toys 'R us and picked out a few more toys to add to his ever expanding collection. Isaac loves playing with balls and the basketball hoop atthe gyms daycare, so he was really excited to have his very own BB hoop in his parents living room. I laugh when I see him try to throw the balls into the hoop since it is still a little bit high. Also, since Isaac is our little sous chef, we thought it would be benificial for him to have his own kitchen and cook when Mommy and/or Daddy are cooking. We were right!!! He LOVES it! He also loves the play phone that comes with it. He walks around the house talking on that phone for ever. I often wonder who he thinks he is talking to. Nonetheless, it is really enjoyable to watch him do it....at least I think so.

Isaac has a new car

So for Valentine's Day, my parents bought Isaac a ride in, not battery driven, police car. You know, like the orange and white coupes that you use your feet to move it with. Anyways, he loves to play in it even though he hasn't quite figured out how to sit on the seat and move the car with his feet. He loves to climb in through the window, not the door and bring in all of his play kitchen food too. he also pushes it around the whole house and gets very upset when it won't fit through any small spaces. I can't wait for spring and summer so he can actually play with it outside.

Too much time

So here it is, a balloon fashion show. Who would have ever thought? After looking at these pictures, I couldn't help but go back to my high school days when it seemd like for every Spirit Week event, I always seemed to be the one making the balloon arches. Now for anyone who has ever made them, especially the ones with more than one color and in a design, they know that they can be tricky. I can't imagine making faux clothing out of them? Who came up with this? Is there a world wide balloon fashion industry that I don't know about? Anyways, I think that they are pretty cool, but I hope that people didn't spend their life savings or quit their jobs for it.

Swimming....but it is snowing outside

Yes, that's right. The good mother that I am takes her baby swimming when it is snowing outside. =0) Isaac and I went with our friend, Kristin, and her daughter, Addison, to the pool at the Lehi Rec Center. It was so much fun!! The kids loved it. Isaac really liked playing in the sraying fountain, climbing through the tunnel that was partially in the water and climbing up the jungle gym to slide down the water slide. Yup, he went down the water slide numerous times by himself when either Kristin or I caught him and Addison. The up side to this was that the water was ridiulousley warm; I was actually hot in some areas. We put the kids in life jackets and took them through the lazy river, but they didn't like it. They liked the area where they can walk and explore. They didn't like the water swings either. All in all, we had a great time!!! It made the kids so tired whichof course I enjoyed. I think that we found a place that we can pass this month and next month at untili the snow melts and the parks open up.

Cabin Fever!!!

Well, January hasn't been to fun in the Wuehler house as Isaac was sick for most of it. After 3 ear infections, allergic reactions to medications, fevers of 102, throwing up and 4 days of him just laying in my lap and not moving I am happy to say that February is looking up. He has a small cold and now is getting 2 of his molars on top and 2 on the bottom, but after January, this is a piece of cake.

Needless to say, both Isaac and I have cabin fever really bad. The weather hasn't been on our side since it has been snowing almost every day and Isaac doesn't like to play outside when it is actually snowing. So to pass the days, we have been going to Toddler Time at the library and Isaac really enjoys watching all the kids and the singing and dancing, the aquarium which Isaac enjoyed watching the jelly fish, playing in the "coral" playground and touching the sting rays, the Bean Museum at BYU which features a bunch of dead, stuffed animals plus dead insects (you name it and it is there. They even have a "liger"), and the pool.

The other day the sun came out so Isaac and I went outside and he liked hitting the icicles off the hanging of our home and watching them hit the ground making sounds like glass shattering. He also enjoyed me pulling him around our front and back yard plus our driveway in a little baby sleigh. It is a GREAT work out for the person pulling him. After the day was done, and when Jim came home, he gave Isaac a ride a few times on one of the short, easy tracks that I made. Isaac just sits in it and enjoys the ride while sticking his hands in the snow as he is moving.
