The Mormon Miracle Pageant

A few days ago, we decided to venture out of Provo, UT and take a drive south to Manti, UT for the Mormon Miracle Pageant. Jim and I were used to seeing the Temple Pageant in Oakland which you are in a theatre wearing Sunday clothes and no children under the age of 8 are allowed. This was completely different. It was outside with the Manti Temple serving as the backdrop on the hill and everyone was in regular clothes either sitting in chairs or on blankets on the grass. It was a late night since it didn't start until dark which was at 930pm and it was an hour and a half away. We all enjoyed it. Isaac ran around in circles the first 20 minutes but I think that had to do more with all the cotton candy he ate before it started. After his sugar high died, he sat and watched the rest of the play and really enjoyed it.

Don't mind my hair in these picture because I know it was out of control. The other two people in the photos are Geoff and Shannon Slinker. They are our family away from family. We spend A LOT of time with their family!!!

Rainy Days and Such

It has rained pretty much all of June. I am not complaining since it has kept the normally warm temperature down. However, with all the rain, we are having a hard time keeping ourselves occupied. So, why not take pictures and videos, right? In these pictures, I am 34 weeks pregnant and Isaac decided he likes to play with my head bands. In the videos, it is raining cats and dogs with lightning and thunder. However, since we have a car port, Jim and I didn't see any reason to stay inside.

Orem's Summerfest

n

H

One thing I really enjoy and will miss about living in Utah, is the fact that there is always some sort of festival going on in the summer. unlike back home in CA, you don't have to pay to park or even pay to get in. How nice is that? Today was really nice because instead of it being in the 80's or 90's, it was only in the 70's. Perfect weather to enjoy the crowds, and the amusement. Isaac had a great time looking at all the old cars. He likes to call them hot rods and/or race cars. He even makes the sound effects too. He also had fun climbing in old Army vehicles and sitting in a medical helicopter. Jim and I of course, love the food. We really like going to one of the Polynesian booths to get a plate lunch and then pick another miscellaneous booth to try out. This year the Caribbean booth made the cut. We enjoyed our food underneath the performer's tent where Isaac was having fun watching the tween girls sing and dance. I think the highlight of the day for me was watching Isaac ride the little kiddie rides. He thought he was so cool and had a blast. When he was riding the motorcycles, he kept making the noise to go with it. During the car ride, he kept shouting out "hot rod" and pointing to his car. He kept quiet with the boat ride but did ring the bell a few times before the kid in front of him took the string away. Isaac was very sad when his tickets ran out and it was time to go. He had such a great time and I am glad that we were able to go again this year before we move. Now we are keeping are fingers crossed that it doesn't rain tomorrow night for the end of the festival's fireworks show.

Trouble Waking Up

Isaac has a really hard time when he has to be woken up. I think it is funny most days, but I wonder how it is going to be when he hits the teenage years.

How Sweet

When we were in CA, Isaac and his cousin, Liesel, were smitten with each other. I am glad that someone captured this on film since the two of them are holding hands in this picture. How sweet is that?!
