Gordon Ramsey #1

Jim is a huge fan of Gordon Ramsey especially his television shows Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen. He came across these videos and we both were laughing so hard. You have to be a fan of his to enjoy it. However, I am not too in favor of the language they had a little boy use. See more funny videos and funny pictures at CollegeHumor.

Gordon Ramsey #2

Belly fat

Anyone who has been pregnant knows that no matter how skinny you are, you will always go through that annoying "fat" stage. You know the stage where people look at you and think, "Is she pregnant or did she just let herself go during the holidays?" Well, that is exactly where I am at right now! I can't wait to actually be "officially" showing so I don't look and feel like I should be mooing everywhere I go. On the upside, I still have been hitting the gym 6 days a week for a hour and a half and have only gained 2lbs according to the doctor. Just for fun, I pulled out my sheet of paper that my old trainer used to recorded my body measurements and thought I should see where I stand now practically three months later since the last measurement was in November. Well, I was pleased to see that all 0f my measurements have stayed the same except my waist which is 4 inches bigger. I was SO EXCITED that my butt wasn't 4 inches bigger!!!! So I guess the gym has been paying off and I just need to keep telling myself only another month or so until I don't look liker a cow anymore.

Prego food

So far, my cravings haven't been that bad since I have been pregnant besides the usual wanting of a cheeseburger and fries, sushi rolls (of course with cooked fish), and spinach dip. I have however have a sudden food aversion to chicken. *gag* I can't look, smell or touch raw chicken and if it is not well seasoned meaning if it tastes like chicken, I can't eat it. Ironically this new development came to right after we bought 40lbs of boneless skinless chicken breasts. Yes you read that right, 40lbs of chicken. When you by it in a 40lb case, it is only $1.19lb. We think it is a great deal to freeze it and have chicken for the next few months.

Anyways, one thing that has been tasting good to me and Jim too believe it or not is onions cooked with bacon and bacon fat, tossed with cabbage in a pan until wilted seasoned with salt and sugar. I know it sounds a bit odd, but it is really tasty and like I said, Jim even likes it. It seems to go with whatever kind of meat we are having for supper.

So I can't put it in the "weird prego food" category.

Draper Temple Open House

Last night Jim, Isaac and I along with a handful of the Slinker family went to the Draper Temple open house. Whenever a temple is built, there is an open house for a couple of months where ANYONE, YES ANYONE, MORMON or NOT, can go inside and see the different rooms and areas of the temple. We all really enjoyed ourselves and Isaac even had fun. His highlight was taking the very big buses from the chapel to the temple. He just thought the big buses were the best thing since sliced bread! I was amazed at how efficient and organized the tour was considering the high volume of people. It is a beautiful temple inside and out. I really wish that my family and friends were able to go so they can see the inside. I especially wish that could see the sealing or wedding room. Everyone in the tour enjoyed that! It was a special experience and I suggest that if you are planing a trip to Utah before the beginning of March, try to get tickets so you can go inside and experience the beautiful temple.

On the way home, Jim and I decided to stop at Walmart and get some grocery shopping done. All three of us were still in our church clothes from the temple. Well, Isaac has a cough and decided to get into a coughing fit right in the middle of the grocery section. Low and behold, the Wuehler luck was with us again as Isaac started throwing up all over himself and the food isle! YUCK! I guess it was better in Walmart than the temple. I was looking all over for a worker but of course, when you need one, they are never around! I ended up getting some paper towels that we later bought to clean up the mess and Isaac got a new pair of pajamas to wear. What a night. I doubt we will forget it.

P-TINGS!

Isaac has associated airplanes with seeing Vanessa's parents, Papa and Nana. I think that is because we always say that we are going on an airplane to see them or they are coming on an airplane to see us. Now every time he sees an airplane or "p-ting," Isaac always looks up at it in the sky and says, "Hi Papa! Hi Nana!" as he is frantically waving his hands. I think it is so sweet.

"No!" (snow)

I was on the phone today and I thought Isaac was in the living room with Jim. I guess Jim thought he was in the kitchen with me because when I ended my phone conversation we both thought it was just a little too quiet and found Isaac. He was playing in his bedroom..not so bad, right? What if I said that he lined up some of his cars on our food storage shelf? Still not so bad. Well what about if I add the fact the he got into a bag of bread flour and put it all over his cars? We walked in and this is what he said, "Look, no! (snow)" He was so proud of himself. Of course all I could think about was that we had to be out the door and I had a child covered in flour and a huge mess to clean up. Well, he was happy that it snowed for his cars but hopefully for my sake it was a freak winter storm that will never happen again!

Isaac was making me laugh so hard! I wish that he would have let me video tape him last night singing because he was going on forever! I think both videos are fun and I was laughing at how Isaac just had to wear his sunglasses but they were such a distraction for him. It is too sweet. American Idol 2024, watch out.

Snow Days

It snowed here for 2 days straight and Isaac LOVED it! He couldn't wait to put on his snow clothes and play in it with Jim. I think Jim was just as excited to play in it with Isaac. They were snow buddies through and through! It was really fun for me to watch.

I Hope MY Taxes Won't Be Used!

Isaac's New Love

Along with football, bowling and his cars, Isaac has discovered that he really enjoys playing Guitar Hero! We were at the Slinker's house and all the older kids were playing and he thought it was cool. They were very nice to share with him and everyone agreed that he looked too darn cute doing it!

Christmas in Not-So-Sunny California

Isaac and I headed to California a week before Jim did. We were lucky in the fact that we missed the major storms that dumped a ton of snow in Utah but we hit an abnormal cold spell in the Bay Area. Normally the weather is in the 50's and 60's but this time it was rainy for most days with a high in the 40's! I know that it shouldn't have felt cold since it was colder in Utah when we left, but I didn't pack for "cold" weather! Well, we still managed. When Jim arrived we were lucky and had a few sunny days so the 3 of us went to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 in San Francisco. Isaac had so much fun chasing and feeding the birds, going to the aquarium and seeing sharks, looking at he sea lions on the pier and watching all the boats in the water. It was nice to have a fun family day. The day after Christmas was also sunny so the 3 of us along with Jim's parents and 2 of his sister went to Muir Woods to see all the big redwoods trees. Isaac was in his glory with all the trees and the freedom to roam outside. Beside doing those 2 things, we went to Half Moon Bay with Vanessa's parents, visited friends and family and just "relaxed" at Vanessa's parents house. Christmas was fun. Isaac just LOVED opening his presents and was sad when they were all opened. Of course between the 2 sets of grandparents, great-grandparents, great- aunts and uncle and regular aunts and uncles, Isaac got every toy under the sun!He is thoroughly enjoying all of them. It was a nice trip but it is nice to be back home. All in all, we can't complain!

Yes, those are Isaac's shoes and trains in the dogs water bowl.

I run to the bathroom really quick and this is what I find when I get out. Your welcome Mom for re-organizing your cupboard.

Traveling with the Wuehler's

ON our way home from California (don't worry, I will post about our trip soon), we were fortunate enough that our friends, Paul and Angie Simpson were on the same flight we were. It was great to have to extra people with helping hands. Angie and I had a row to ourselves while the 3 boys shared a row behind us. Well, Isaac was a nomad. He liked to travel between the two rows. Towards the end of the flight, the air turned down and it was so hot that I started to feel sick. Once the plane landed and the seat belt light turned off, I ran down the isle to the bathroom and gave the toilet everything that was in my stomach. I think that was the smallest bathroom that I have even thrown up in. Well, by the time we all got to the baggage claim it was just a little over midnight and yes Isaac was still running around. As Jim was taking the luggage off the carousel, Isaac thought it would be fun to try to stick his back pack up on the carousel but instead he fell face first onto the side of it managing to bite through his bottom lip! After the tears on his end, the cleaning of blood and a diaper change, Paul and Jim went to get the cars since it was in the 20's. Of course no matter how tired we all were, Jim Isaac and I made a trip to the hospital for his lip. Because of the way his teeth went through his lip, no stitches were needed but antibiotics were a must since it is highly prone for infection. We finally arrive home a little before 4 am and let me tell you, being home never felt so good!

These photos pf his lip were taken a few days after the incident. I am very surprised at how fast it is healing!

Isaac's Under-roos

Isaac has been very interested in going to the bathroom on a big boy's toilet for a couple of months now but Jim and I have been putting it off until after the holidays. Today we went to target and picked out Isaac a toilet and let me tell you that I have never seen a 2 year old so excited for it! He was also so excited to wear his new under-roos that he got for Christmas. He kept wanting me to take more and more pictures of him wearing them while he posed. We thought it was very cute!
