Isaac is all over the place these days. He is always climbing or jumping on things. I am sure that by the end of the year we will be in the ER with a broken bone. I was changing the sheets and pillow cases on the bed and when Isaac decided he thought it would be fun to pile up the pillows and jump off the mattress that is on the side of our bed. Enjoy.

Tender Moments
For the tender moments alone, that is why I LOVE being a mother. For any of you who know Isaac, know that he is a very active boy and always testing my patience by jumping off things, being demanding, wanting to do things his way or just wanting to rough house. However, he has such a sweet side to him that I cherish. He still likes to cuddle with me when he first wakes up in the morning, after his nap and right before bed, he gives me kisses and hugs all the time, share his snacks with me or even make sure that I am not cold. The other day me heart melted. Isaac came into bed with me half way through the night and I woke up in the morning to him looking at me with a huge smile on his face while he was gently stoking my cheek and forehead. Also, we have been telling him that I have a baby in belly and that he is going to be a big brother. He gets very excited. He like to rest his head on my belly and say, " Hi baby." and "I love you, baby." Then he gently hugs and kisses my belly. How sweet is that?! I can't wait until he will be able to feel the baby kick. I just love Isaac so much! He is my sweet, baby boy!

Dirty Dishes
Isaac loves to try to climb up to reach the sink. Sometimes he uses the kitchen chair and other times he uses his stepping stool or Jim's big powdered protein containers. Well tonight he decided to use his push train and not stand on the seat, but stand on the handle! He drives me crazy when he does this. He only does this when there are dirty dishes in the sink so he can play with them in the water that he is soaking. I normally have a dish free sink or a sink with only a couple of dishes in it for this reason. However, tonight is an exception since Jim and Isaac made the mess last night making pizza, I feel that they can clean it up. The downfall? ... Isaac thinking he can play with all the dirty dishes in the sink.
Pizza
g
On Friday, Jim and Isaac made homemade pizza for dinner. I'm talking homemade dough, homemade pizza sauce and fresh toppings. They made a BBQ chicken pizza and a pepperoni, olive, onion, bell pepper pizza. Isaac had a lot of fun grating the cheddar cheese, eating the olives off his fingers, licking the pizza sauce, playing with the mozzarella rounds and adding all the toppings. He was very particular about his pepperoni arrangement for his own pizza. He didn't want any outside help with it. I guess you don't interrupt the chef while he is in his zone. The pizzas tasted fantastic and besides the mess in my kitchen, it was a really fun family activity for dinner.

Hugs
For Valentine's Day, Isaac made "Hugs" to send to both sets of grandparents and his great-grandparents. He really enjoyed me tracing his arms and hands but he was very upset that I wouldn't let him cut them out. He soon realized that he was able to paint them and was very excited again. I thought this would be fun because the family can wrap his painted arms around them for a big V-day hug from him.

What the heck?
I thought Isaac and I looked cute today for church because we were both matching in our brown and white outfits. Naturally I wanted a picture, not by our food storage, but that is where Isaac wanted to be. However, when Jim pulled out the camera Isaac didn't want anything to do with it. How many pictures do we have to take to get one good one? AS you can see, no pictures turned out. I guess that is what you get when you try to take a picture of a two year old right before church when any other day of the week they would be falling asleep for their nap in bed.
Smoothie
The other night for dessert, I made a smoothie with blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, pineapple juice and vanilla ice cream. I have to admit it was pretty tasty. So tasty in fact that Isaac drank 3/4 of mine and 1/2 of Jim's! He was VERY disappointed when it was all gone but Jim and I really had fun looking at Isaac's smoothie face. Can you tell he was drinking out of a really big cup?
Valentine's Day
V-day was uneventful in our home. Isaac and I gave Jim some chocolates and Jim and I gave Isaac some chocolates. Isaac and Jim gave me 3 yellow roses and 1 orange roses which are in a vase on the kitchen table. Besides that, nothing really happened. Isaac and I had the whole day and evening to ourselves because Jim was working on 2 applications that were due at midnight and couldn't be bothered. So today after church, we had a nice dinner and family evening together celebrating "our love" for one another. Jim made dinner while I watched a movie which was very nice. Isaac even helped. They made a bacon wrapped meatloaf with red mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. It was very tasty. I hope everyone had a nice V-day we did (today.)

Isaac Being Silly
When the music goes on and the camera comes out, a switch turns on and Isaac acts so silly. He also REALLY wants to be able to video tape himself which isn't the greatest idea. I thought I would share some of the silly moments that Jim and I get to see all the time.

1:00pm Church
1 o'clock church is very hard for us in the Wuehler home because Isaac doesn't get a nap. So every Sunday when we get home we find Isaac asleep where ever he plops himself with in the first 5 minutes of being home. That means only a cat nap for him so he can sleep later, but it also means a cranky 2 year old for Jim and I.
Shamu is Coming to Town!
So I have had requests from friends and family to periodically post photos of me and my ever growing belly. I hope that in a couple of weeks I will actually have a "pregnant" looking belly with everything that I wear. I am so looking forward to plopping my body down in the wading pool this summer and never leaving it until I deliver. I would have to say from here on out, Shamu will be coming to town.

Ice Skating
We took Isaac ice skating yesterday and he really enjoyed it. I don' t think he enjoyed it nearly as much as Jim and I did watching him, but he still had fun. He wasn't sure at first when we were putting on his ice skates, but after standing up and a few wobbles later, he was walking around and kept wanting to go back on the ice. Jim was a great sport at pushing Isaac along. Isaac did try a couple of times to figure out how to move his little legs but looked more like the animals on the cartoons when they hit an icy patch. I think we would take him again.

Date Night
With Jim working nights and with Sunday and Monday nights as his nights off, we don't get very much "us"time. Well, this Monday we decided to have a date night with just the two of us. I was so excited to spend time with Jim so I called the best babysitter in the world, Becky Slinker, and asked if her and her boyfriend would like to watch Isaac for a couple of hours. When the day came for the date, Isaac was really excited to hang out with Becky. He calls her "My Becky." Steve, Becky's boyfriend, has stiff competition with Isaac.
Jim and I weren't sure what we wanted to do since it was freezing so we played it by ear. We went to dinner at Happy Sumo's which was VERY kind of Jim since this place wasn't his first, second or third choice. I guess he figured that if he satisfied his prego wife's craving, the date would go better. After dinner we thought we might want to see a movie so we drove to two theatres in the area and decided there wasn't anything we wanted to see. So we ended up going to Circuit City to see their sales since they were going out of business, walked around the mall and then went to the grocery store. What a date, huh? I told Jim that we are pathetic. I can't believe that we paid someone so we could walk around a grocery store. To say the least, we still had a nice time with each other.
