Cabin

After the few days we spent in the Bay Area, we headed to my parent cabin in Cedar Ridge by Twain Harte. We had a fun time playing at the lake and watching Isaac chase the ducks around and looking at the fish. We went to Columbia, an old historic mining town and drank Sasparillas in the saloon, went on a coach ride and Isaac loved playing old fashion bowling. We also just hung around the cabin and watched the birds, squirrels and raccoons with Isaac. Of course, a trip the cabin wouldn't be complete if Isaac wasn't covered head to toe in dirt by the end of the day! One day while we were playing horseshoes, Isaac decided that he wanted to collect our horseshoes after we threw them . They were so heavy for him but he didn't care. He still would run and fall in the dirt and then try with all of his might to throw them . It was so fun to watch. We had a great time up there and it was so nice to have fun as a family before Jim started back up in school and work.

Ha ha! I love the dirt all over his face. He's a boy through and through.
