Christmas Eve and Christmas

Christmas Eve and Christmas are always busy for us. We are constantly bouncing back and forth between families. This year, Isaac was old enough to help build a gingerbread house with his Grandma. I think he ate his fair share of frosting and candy and had so much fun helping his Grandma and his Aunties. He was very proud to show me his house when he was all finished.

After the Gingerbread house, we headed back to my parents house for a Christmas Eve dinner with them and my brother. We had a nice time visiting and watched "Up." From there, we went up to the Oakland Temple and meet up with Jim's parents to see the beautiful Christmas lights. It was a cold night, but both Isaac and Elizabeth loved it. We went back to the Wuehler's for their traditional Christmas Eve program that consists of music and BJ reading the Christmas story from the Bible. This year, it was the condensed version since Isaac was so tired with not napping. Nonetheless, it was still nice. We ended up back at my parents house around 1030pm and tucked 2 very tired children in bed. I then got ready and headed out to Midnight Mass with Jim's sister Julie and my Grandparents.
On Christmas morning Jim and my brother Ryan were so excited they woke up Isaac so Isaac could wake me and my parents up to open presents. Isaac was running in and out of the bedrooms yelling, "Santa Comes!" He was so excited to open presents. He kept asking Santa for a Handy Manny Repair Shop. That was all he was asking for for Christmas and that is what Santa brought him. He was so excited! He was also excited for his Nerf gun that he got. Jim received one too and they had fun shooting things and each other with them. We had our traditional Christmas breakfast of eggs, toast, linguica and morcilla, got ready and headed back to the Wuehler's for more presents to open. From the Wuehler's we went to my grandparent's house and met up with all the Aunts, Uncles and cousins to do one last round of present opening and then to have our traditional Christmas dinner featuring ham, prime rib and twice baked potatoes. By this time, we were tired but we had to head to the Wuehler's one last time for the night and visit with all of them. We had a very busy two days, but they were a nice two days.

Elizabeth opened up some plastic Disney Princesses. She is holding Tinkerbell here, but is gravitating to Ariel.
