Goblin Valley

Isaac and I ventured to down into the south-eastern part of Utah and visited Goblin Valley State Park with a couple of our neighbors. The park was originally, in pre-historic time, near a large coastal sea and over time, the sandstone which was part of a highland has been slowly eroding by the weather which produces these spherical-shaped 'goblins.' To me, they look more like wild mushrooms, but whatever. Isaac had so much fun running around and exploring all of the sand, dirt and little crevasses. He tried to keep up with the older high school boys, often forgetting that he is only 17 months and his little legs go too fast for his body on the down hill slopes resulting in a face plant in the dirt. Nonetheless, he would always stand right back up, dust off his hands, and then call to the kids ahead of him to let them know that he was still behind them. Everyone thought that was great. After a day of running in the dirt, Isaac was ready for a nice nap in the car on his way home. We really had a fun day.

Hi Vanessa--remember me from BYUH? Found you through Emily. How's life? We are in Provo too. Ryan's going to med. school this fall--we're moving next month back to CA for it. Good to see you! You're little guy's sooo cute--I love the "Baby Haka"!

Sydney needs to take some lessons from Isaac on picking yourself back up after a fall. She seems to have a dramatic streak in her at times.
